Education and Experience: B.A. in Music or related field is preferred


—  Direct the planning, coordination, operation, and evaluation of a comprehensive
music ministry and audio/visual ministry.
—  Coordinate the Church Music Ministry with the calendar and emphasis of the
—  Work with the Lead Pastor, Other Staff, and Worship Team in determining music
ministry goals
—  Assist the Lead Pastor and other ministerial staff in planning corporate services of
the church
—  Responsible for the selection of music in coordination with the Lead Pastor.
—  Plan and participate in rehearsals
—  Plan all corporate worship outside of the proclamation portion of each service,
providing whatever is spiritually required to bring those in the service into a
readiness to receive the Word and reflect on its importance. (i.e. Prayer, Scripture
Reading, Times of Reflection, etc.)
—  Select Praise Teams to lead in the musical worship and provide them with what is
needed to lead that week’s service
—  Select Audio/Visual Teams to support the musical worship and provide them with
what is needed to support that week’s service
— Select and coordinate the performance schedules of praise teams and audio/visual
teams and schedule music using Online Planning Tools and other software
provided by the church as needed and requested
—  Work with and give clear expectations to the members of the audio/visual team
—  Be aware of weddings and funerals to be held in the church; be available to
arrange and provide music for special projects, ministries, and other special
—  Supervise maintenance of and additions to all musical equipment, promote
musical materials, supplies, instruments, and other music equipment for use in the
church’s program and provide written proposals to the finance team for necessary
—  Keep informed on current music trends and music methods, materials, etc.
—  Present a proposed budget to the finance team each year
—  Other duties as assigned


—  This position reports directly to the Lead Pastor with general oversight provided
by the church personnel team.
—  The Worship Lead will supervise all praise teams. This minister will communicate
to the Technology Team Lead all audio/visual needs for the weekly worship
service based on when the Lead Pastor provides Series Titles and Message Titles.
He/she will also provide information and needs for funerals or weddings to the
Technology Team Lead in a timely manner.
—  Must submit to a background and security screening
